Martha Pichey was born in a small Connecticut town that felt a million miles away from a big city. She graduated from Syracuse University, and began her publishing career at Scholastic and Travel & Leisure. Then she met an Englishman in New York, and they moved to London where they raised three sons. She continued her career as a freelancer, and gained a Masters in Screenwriting.
Now back in New York City, she is a proud member of both the Beehive Collective and the Playwrights/Directors Workshop at the Actors Studio. She recently completed a residency at SPACE on Ryder Farm and is a Writing Fellow with Athena Theatre for 2018.
Her first play, ASHES & INK, will be produced in 2019 by women’s theater company Nora’s Playhouse.
